Fulgini Contract was commissioned to reinterpret the key interior spaces of a high-end private residence in New York, a four-story home defined by its bold and distinctive character. The client’s vision was clear from the outset: to create an interior that felt unexpected, refined, and unlike anything conventional.
The challenge was to seamlessly integrate new bespoke elements into an existing environment already rich in personality, where custom furnishings, innovative lighting, and exceptional materials shaped a unique architectural identity.
Our team designed all tailor-made interiors, with particular focus on the new master bedroom and kitchen, where craftsmanship and carefully curated materials define every detail. We also developed the technical drawings for all custom joinery and, in collaboration with our partner, designed the sculptural open staircase connecting the four levels—an entirely Italian-made piece born from an extensive process of research, engineering, and material exploration.

Moodboard
The most compelling aspect of the design process was the careful research and selection of materials, supported by the creation of detailed moodboards.
The goal was to establish a strong visual thread across all spaces while keeping each environment distinct and refined.
A careful balance of textures, tones, and natural finishes guided every choice.
Timeless materials such as travertine, Silver Root stone, selected natural woods, and leather defined the project.
Combined with furniture from leading Italian manufacturers, the result is a cohesive and elegant interior where materiality plays a central role in expressing the essence of Made in Italy design.
